A new academic governance and the arrival of sixteen new professors: Luiss continues its commitment to offer innovative academic paths centered on the enquiry-based educational model.

In September 2022, Luiss launched a new academic governance structure that contemplates Departments – in charge of faculty management, research and third mission activities – and two newly established schools: the Undergraduate School, which provides three-year and single-cycle programmes, and the Graduate School, which oversees the master’s programmes. The new structure also includes the post-graduate schools: the Luiss School of Law, Luiss School of Government, Luiss School of European Political Economy, as well as the Luiss Business School S.p.A.

This 'matrix' structure is based on co-responsibility between the Departments and the Schools. The Departments are led by Heads, who are tasked with developing and managing the academic assets available to the University and the schools, while the Schools are led by Deans, who value these assets to offer interdisciplinary teaching initiatives.

Sixteen new professors enrich Luiss faculty: their international profiles spanning social sciences will further reinforce the research and teaching standing of Luiss departments and schools.
