On Tuesday, June 11, at 9:30 a.m., the Luiss Viale Pola campus hosts the first Luiss Diplomatic Forum for foreign and Italian diplomats, representatives of institutions and Italian companies that operate abroad.
The first annual event also features commentary and discussion with Luiss professors on the outcome of the European elections.
The morning begins with the Meeting of Alumni Diplomats, in the Sala delle Colonne, with a speech from Elisabetta Belloni, General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Opening the event is Luiss General Manager Giovanni Lo Storto, followed by Deputy Rector for Internationalization Raffaele Marchetti and a conclusion from Luiss Vice President Paola Severino.
Starting at 11:15 a.m., the event welcomes diplomats stationed in Rome, institutions and companies. Opening the session is Enzo Moavero Milanesi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Giving the official welcome is Luiss President Emma Marcegaglia, followed by a panel on the future of Europe with Professors Sergio Fabbrini, Mark Thatcher and Thomas Christiansen, moderated by Director of the Luiss School of Journalism Gianni Riotta. Closing the day is Luiss Rector Andrea Prencipe.
