In collaboration with Fondazione Italia Sociale, Luiss has organized the university course “Be CIVIC: for a new civic culture”, which will begin on Wednesday, 9 February

The course aims to develop civic awareness among all disciplines and is part of the activities of Fondazione Italia Sociale and the broader cultural initiative included in the “beCIVIC” program. A project of training, information, and cultural animation that makes use of different channels and languages targeting new generations.

The project is designed in collaboration with the Osservatorio Ethos of the Luiss Business School led by Professor Sebastiano Maffettone, and addresses the topics of civic values, their development, implications,and manifestations in different fields by drawing on several disciplines i.e., history, law, philosophy, political thinking, communication theory, architecture, and economics.

The lecturers leading the course are Enzo Manes, entrepreneur, philanthropist, founder of Dynamo Camp and President of Fondazione Italia Sociale, and Gianluca Salvatori, Secretary-General of Fondazione Italia Sociale and Euricse and member of Geces, the European Commission’s expert group on social economy.

Faculty members teaching the course are Sebastiano Maffettone, Paolo Benanti, Paolo Boccardelli, Antonio Calabrò, Beniamino de Liguori, Carlo Ratti, Giovanni Orsina, Gregorio Arena, Ettore Iorio, Giuliano Amato, and Giovanna Pancheri.
