Recent graduate Davide Motta began his academic career with the Luiss bachelor’s degree program in Economics and Management. He then continued with the Luiss master’s program in Corporate Finance with an Erasmus project at the University of Zagreb.

“It was the first year of the Erasmus partnership and I wanted to go and be a pioneer. My time there was a challenge, particularly on a personal level.”

In fact, Davide’s fondest memory of his time at Luiss was when he was accepted to the Erasmus program.

“My time abroad helped me learn about different cultures and it was very helpful during the SWIFT Student Challenge,” explained Davide, who represented Luiss, the only Italian university, to participate in the challenge, dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to finance. The graduate first explored the world of artificial intelligence through the ERSLab and already having experience with payment circuits, he welcomed the challenge.

“At the beginning I thought that this world would be open exclusively to professors or professionals. Then, I got to participate in one of the most important events in the field of finance as a student and as a speaker. It was so exciting.”

To students interested in a similar career, Davide suggests taking advantage of all the academic and extracurricular activities the University offers to get a 360° view.”

Davide currently works for KPMG in Luxemburg where he hopes to remain for the first part of his career. “I don’t want to stop as long as I have the strength and positivity to go ahead.”
