July 19-24, 2016, the Fiera di Bergamo hosts the first Italian Campus Party, the largest digital innovation event in the world, dedicated to entrepreneurship, science, creativity and digital entertainment. 

Campus Party Italia is a six-day, 24-hour tech festival for thousands of hackers, developers, players and geeks. Over 4,000 university students, startuppers and digital champions are expected to participate in the week of expermentation, learning, technology, challenges and fun.

Welcoming participants will be international guests and an intense program of conferences, workshops, hackathons and workshops. Guests speakers include: Chris AndersonJeremy RifkinNeil Harbisson, and Tim Berners-Lee.

The event is organized in partnership with MIUR, MISE, Agid, Conferenza dei Rettori delle Università Italiane (CRUI), and Consiglio Nazionale degli Studenti Universitari (CNSU). Alongside universities from around the world, LUISS is participating in the event with a delegation of students and recent graduates.

First launched in Spain in 1997, Campus Party now takes place annually in Mexico, Costa Rica, Portugal, Brasil, Ecuador and Argentina. As in all other local versions, during the Italian event, the campuseros (as participants are called) can sleep in on-campus tents, set up just for them.
