ILEO is proud to be celebrating its official kick-off meeting!
On September 23, the post-EPIP Pisa conference debrief took place. The meeting took stock of the European Policy for Intellectual Property (EPIP) Congress in Pisa (11-13 September 2024), where some of the ILEO members presented their latest research on intellectual property and ethical innovation.
The first part of the event was reserved for ILEO members to discuss the Observatory's agenda.
The second part, with presentations from ILEO's Director Christophe Geiger, Vincenzo Iaia, Bernd Justin Jütte and Francesca Di Lazzaro, addressed fundamental questions related to copyright law and its governance, in particular with regard to digital technologies, scrutinizing and discussing them from an ethical and sustainability perspective and setting the scene for the next activities to come.
We thank the audience for engaging actively with the presentations and for the great input during the discussion. Finally, ILEO welcomed its first Associate Member Bernd Justin Jütte, who will closely work on the activities of the Observatory.
