General Rules
Visiting professors at Luiss are required to spend a minimum of 6 consecutive weeks at our University. Given the desire to establish a more fruitful and lasting cooperation, longer visiting periods, up to 1 semester, are encouraged. Candidates may apply for one of the following Departments:
- Business and Management
- Economics and Finance
- Law
- Political Science

In addition to general information, applicants are kindly requested to upload their CV (and mention any established contact with one or more faculty members at Luiss).
Luiss University will provide a lump sum compensation to cover travel and living expenses throughout the Visiting period. This payment will also remunerate a moderate teaching involvement in Luiss classes (up to a maximum of 20 teaching hours). The proposed gross compensation normally ranges from a minimum of €3,000 to a maximum of €6,000 per month.
Visiting Periods
- Fall Term: September 1, 2022 – December 15, 2022
- Spring Term: January 15, 2023 – May 15, 2023
- Summer Term: May 15, 2023 – July 15, 2023
Please note that visiting periods are preferably organized for our Fall and Spring Terms. Nevertheless, a limited number of positions might be available during the Summer Term, in which only research activity, and possibly some teaching at either the Doctorate level or in a post-graduate program, will be carried out.
