Riccardo Angioli is among The Top Young Entrepreneurs Of The Forbes Under 30

This year, several Luiss students that have been listed in Forbes’s Top Young Entrepreneurs Under 30. One of them is Riccardo Angioli. He was shortlisted in the “Venture Capital” category and holds the record as the youngest talent on the list.

Riccardo recalled his university experience as follows. “I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management in 2019, an enriching experience where I developed solid knowledge of the field. At Luiss, I have also cultivated my interests engaging in extracurricular activities. The University has a remarkable ecosystem, including Luiss EnLabs and the precious collaboration with LVenture”.

Riccardo stated one of the University’s main strengths are “the extra-curricular initiatives, that encourage students to think creatively in business. Whoever wants to get involved is put in a position to do so”.

 He cited Professor Gaia Barone and Professor Giovanni Fiori, his thesis supervisor, to have had the greatest impact on his study plan. Both professors supported his learning of concepts and developing a successful mindset.

Riccardo explained his career path that brought him to be included in the Forbes list. He stated: “it all started with the Starting Finance Deal, a consulting and investment company that was founded two years ago. Today, it boasts a network of 120 investors and a total of 6 million euros channelled into the start-ups of our portfolio”. The company’s services are “tailor-made to customers including young people with a business idea and more advanced start-ups. We provide guidance to companies supporting their growth until they achieve investment”.

The company’s goal is to expand as they are now working on a digital platform and engaging in interesting collaborations. Whereas, on a personal level, Riccardo stated he wishes to continue the entrepreneurial career he has embarked on. He explained “it is not easy and requires many sacrifices, however it is very rewarding. I want to continue to grow and set up other innovative projects”.

Riccardo recommended to those seeking to set out on a similar career pathway “to cultivate desires, study hard and to go beyond the boundaries of the given study plan as this makes the difference”.
