festival dei giovani luiss

April 14-16, 2016, LUISS will participate in the first ever Gaeta Youth Festival, sponsored by Noisiamofuturo

Inspired by an idea from Strategica Community S.r.l., in collaboration with the City of Gaeta, Intesa Sanpaolo, and LUISS, the festival is dedicated to Italian students at the high school and university level. The festival aims to create space for young people to share their personal and collective experiences, as well as discuss current events, including: the digital economy, risks and opportunities linked to social networks, education, savings, legality, startups, immigration, and active citizenship.

Over 70 activities have been planned for the three days, including seminars and debates on social and sharing economies, new trends, art and culture, sports, work, social commitment, and multiculturalism; as well as workshops and career guidance sessions on new professions, testimony from people under 30 and talks on important initiatives in Italian schools.

The festival features special guests from the worlds of information, higher education, music and sports, including Professor Paola Severino, Vice Rector of LUISS and former Minister of Justice; journalists Francesco Giorgino and Carlo Bonini, chef Peppe Zullo and Giosada, the winner of X Factor 2015.

On Friday, April 15, the festival will dedicate an event to the experiences of autistic teens experiencing the gardening therapy project on the LUISS Viale Romania campus and students participating in VolontariaMENTE.

Later that afternoon, the festival will host an award ceremony for finalists in competitions linked to the school-work alternation project, including: the Ladri di future investigation; the competition for innovative entrepreneurial ideas, La tua idea di impresa; the book trailer competition for the thriller by LUISS manager Roberto Costantini’s La moglie perfetta; and Parole Giovani, the creative writing initiative for students under 19.

The Youth Festival is sponsored by the Noi siamo future community, an online platform that, in the past few months, has collected and shared ideas, proposals, opinions, and trends that will be told through a documentary shown on the last day of the festival.
