From March 25 until April 2, 2016, LUISS participated in the National Model United Nations, the most important UN simulation that takes place annually in New York.
Organized in partnership with Consules, the project is an important opportunity for students to get hands-on training in international affairs.
This year, the LUISS delegation, led by Professor Angela Del Vecchio, represented the Russian Federation, meeting with Russian representatives to the Permanent Mission to the United Nations to outline strategies for the assigned case.
After a week of hard work with different UN committees and agencies, LUISS was awarded Honourable Mention for their precise research, their ability to come to consensus and the quality of the laws made.
LUISS has participated in the NMUN for 12 consecutive years. Since 2008, the team has brought home an award every year, making it the winningest team in Europe and among the top teams out of the 400 competitors from around the world.
