Yesterday, Thursday April 14, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. the first ever Gaeta Youth Festival kicked off in Piazza Monsignor Di Liegro. As an official partner of the event, LUISS participated in the opening concert, featuring the student orchestra from Gaeta's Scuola Media Giosuè Carducci and Naples' Le Voci del '48 from Circolo Didattico Madre Claudia Russo.
At 4:00 p.m. the Town Cultural Center hosted a talk on future job opportunities for young people. Participating in the talk were General Manager LUISS Giovanni Lo Storto, the Head of Territorial Coordination Intesa Sanpaolo Marco Biffi, President of job agency Umana Raffaella Caprioglio, and featuring testimony from the startupper behind iGoOn, Claudio Cimmelli.
LUISS student association Green Challenge hosted a viewing of short films and documentaries on sustainable development and the future of the planet while the Sport LUISS basketball team played a friendly match against Meta Formia Basketball.
The afternoon's final event was a talk with singer Giosada at Teatro Ariston, where students had the chance to ask the X Factor winner about his career.
Today, Friday, April 15, among other activities, the Festival hosts a business idea competition Latuaideadiimpresa, an award ceremony for the literary competition Riprendiamoci il futuro, and lessons from LUISS Professors Paola Severino and Francesco Giorgino, dedicated to legality and contemporary information.
The day's events will come to a close at 6:30 p.m. with a Baby K concert sponsored by Intesa Sanpaolo.
