On Saturday, August 27, the Viale Romania campus hosted the award ceremony for the second edition of the Rotman European Trading Competition, with LUISS President Emma Marcegaglia. The evening's guest of honor was President and CEO of Ferrari Sergio Marchionne, met at the entrance by three Ferraris: the F1 2015 by Vettel and Raikkonen, the California T and the F12 tdf.
The competition, organized in collaboration between LUISS and the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, included 29 university teams, from Norway (the defending champions) and the 28 member states of the European Union.
Comprised of LUISS students Berardo Maria Angelini, Franco Colasanti, Rossana Rizzo and Monica Varlese, the Italian team placed first, followed by the respective second and third place winners, the Polish team (the University of Warsaw) and the Czech team (Charles University in Prague).
The LUISS team placed first in two competitions: the Enel Electricity Trading Case and Generali Credit Risk Case. Team member Berardo Maria Angelini also won the Social Outcry.
