First and second-year students studying on the Double Master’s in Policies and Governance in Europe (PAGE) came together in the Aula Polivalente at Luiss to meet each other and professors and share their experiences.
The PAGE double degree is run jointly by the Department of European and International Studies at King’s and Luiss and was launched in 2021. Students study for a year at King’s and a year at Luiss in Italy. They obtain two Master’s degrees, one from each university.
The event was led by Professor Leila Simona Talani, from King’s and currently visiting Professor at Luiss, and Professor Mark Thatcher, from Luiss, who directly the PAGE programme here. They met with students before the celebration event to talk about the programme. They discussed the contents of the programme, the master’s thesis and appreciating the educational traditions in the two countries.
Prof Talani said: “It was a real pleasure to meet with the students and hear about their experiences of studying on the PAGE programme. I am grateful also to colleagues from Luiss for hosting and I hope to be able to welcome them to London in the near future too.”
Professor Thatcher said: “This programme provides students with deep international experience in two capital cities. It leads to two degrees from major European universities and demonstrates the value of international cooperation in higher education. We expect the students of today to be the national and international leaders of tomorrow.
