Bando PRIN 2020
The Ministry of Universities and Research has published the Bando PRIN 2020 for over €700 million to finance projects of national interest.
The project aims to promote Italian research, increase interaction between universities and research centers and support Italian participation in initiatives linked to the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
The PRIN program finances three-year projects that, due to both complexity and nature, require the collaboration of universities and research centers. The call is a single financing procedure with annual windows to present projects for 2021 and 2022.
Nearly €179 million is available for 2020, with €18 million reserved for projects presented by researchers under 40. €250 million is available for 2021 and €300 million is available for 2022.
New in 2020:
- the reintroduction of a direct, in advance payment of lump sums to universities or research centers
- a simplified project evaluation procedure
Applications for 2020 must be received by January 26, 2021.
