On Friday May 22, 2015, at the Viale Pola campus, LUISS hosted the first TEDxLUISS event, Way into the Future. It was a day to share ideas and visions of the future from professors, researchers and innovators, as well as representatives of the business world.
Speakers on the Aula Magna stage included Giuseppe Morici, President of Barilla Europe; Marina Catena, Director of the World Food Program in Paris; television conductor Paolo Bonolis; Professor David Held from the London School of Economics; and winner of the LUISS student speaker contest, Alessandro Abbate.
During the conference, the LUISS courtyard hosted a parallel event highlighting innovation. Students and TEDxLUISS participants had the possibility to "paint with light" on a spin bike by Watt PedAlati, and experiment with augmented reality thanks to three-dimensional modeling by ViewTwoo. Participants also had the opportunity to meet innovative start-ups from LUISS Enlabs and i-lab LUISS as well as Maker Faire Rome.
